Monogram Assignment

• Monogram- logo design based on a person’s initials or name.

• You will create your own logo based on your initials or full name that best represents you.  The logo you create can go with your own fictional business or stand alone.  Several examples around the room.

First you will create some rough drafts of your monogram.  When designing logo think about:

• Color: What color scheme do you want to use, contrast, apply gradients.
• Shapes:  What shapes, objects, images, or designs do I want to incorporate with my initials. 
• Font:  The most important, what font best represents you or your fictional company (experiment) Different styles and shadows
• Text Manipulation:  shift open apple “O” to manipulate text
• Creativity:  Be creative but don’t make design too busy.
• Unity: Monogram should have a sense of unity
• **Design should represent you!

Once logo is created you are going to apply logo to:

• Business Card
• Letterhead Design

You will be graded on:  Monogram design:                25pts  Creativity
